"P7" License Plate Auctioned For $15 Million in Dubai Charity

Updated: Nov 26

$15 Million For A License Plate

The world's most expensive license plate, "P7," was sold for an astounding $15 million at a charity auction in Dubai. This sale shattered the previous record, which was held by another UAE license plate that sold for $14.3 million in 2008.

This record-breaking sale underscores the UAE's reputation for hosting extravagant auctions that blend luxury with philanthropy. In the UAE, rare license plates are not just symbols of exclusivity and status but also opportunities to contribute to meaningful causes. In case you didn't know, one of the biggest "flexes" for Dubai royalty and multi-millionaires/ billionaires, is to have the smallest denominator number as a plate. It's reported to be an immediate status symbol in the place where the car itself is no longer the flex.
