Taylor has built a solid reputation for his defensive skills and versatility in the secondary. After a great collegiate career with the Air Force Falcons, where he was a First and Second-Team All-MWC player, First-Team All-American as a Senior, and the winner of the Jim Thorpe trophy, which goes to the nation's top defensive back, he was then drafted in the 7th round by the Raiders.
